On September 24th, Dr. Hind Arroub, founder of Hypatia Institute in Rabat, Morocco, and renowned scholar and human rights activist, gave an evening lecture at Maecenata Foundation. Maecenata Foundation hosts Dr. Arroub for a four-week research stay in Berlin. She gave a detailed and intriguing report about the situation in the MENA region when it comes to freedom of speech and expression and she especially focussed on the changes after the Arab Uprising in 2010/2011.
