Research Associate
Laura Pfirter is a research associate at the Maecenata Institute for Philanthropy and Civil Society. She is currently involved in the ‘European Civic Space Observatory’ projects, concerned with aspects of contested space and the general conditions for civil society action. She also dedicates herself to acquiring project funds and writing shorter publications.
Pfirter holds a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Her research interests include democratic questions of informal civil society, social movements, digital and urban engagement as well as civic networking.
