TG Spotlight
Non-profit organisations from abroad can receive donations from Germany through the Maecenata Foundation. Such donations are tax-deductible for donors. This is an attractive possibility, used widely by institutions from the culture, education and health sectors, but also by organisations that advocate for the fight against poverty, for development and many other charitable purposes.
In order to give an impression of these wide-ranging activities and places of action and to show how varied civil society engagement can look, the work of several, randomly chosen and accredited receiving organisations is examined in more detail in the TG Schlaglicht (‘TG Spotlight’) series (in German):
