Lisa Klisch leads the communications team at the Maecenata Foundation and is responsible for the strategic direction and ongoing development of the organisation’s overall communications. She oversees communications planning, develops positioning strategies, and supports internal transformation processes through targeted communication.
From 2015 to 2023, she worked in science communication at the German Archaeological Institute. In this role, she served, among other positions, as acting head of editorial for the Orient Department and was responsible for publications as well as the organisation’s digital presence. As a scientific programme coordinator, she designed and implemented academic events, training programmes, and international exchange formats, and played a key role in the strategic communications of several research projects.
She holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the Technical University of Berlin and a Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern Archaeology from Freie Universität Berlin.
Alongside her professional work, she is involved in the environmental organisation Bergwaldprojekt e.V. and is a member of the community-supported agriculture initiative Ökohof Waldgarten.
