Ansgar Gessner

Ansgar Gessner is Executive Director of the Maecenata Foundation. He previously worked at the transatlantic foundation German Marshall Fund of the United States, from 2015 as Program Director and most recently as Deputy Managing Director External Relations. He previously held management positions at Deutsche Bank’s Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, the communications and design agency Triad Berlin and the Free University of Berlin.

He studied North American Studies, Modern History and Law at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Washington in Seattle.
