Ansgar Gessner

Ansgar Gessner is a board member of the Maecenata Foundation. He previously worked at the transatlantic foundation German Marshall Fund of the United States, where he was initially Programme Director and most recently Deputy Managing Director External Relations. Prior to that, he held management positions at the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft of Deutsche Bank, the communications and design agency Triad Berlin and the Free University of Berlin.

He studied North American Studies, Modern History and Law at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Washington in Seattle.
