Marianne Sievers

Marianne Sievers has worked at the Maecenata Foundation since July 2021 and has been responsible for the organisation’s communications team since November 2021. She studies photography at the Ostkreuzschule as well as the Master in Culture and Religion at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Before Sievers started at the Maecenata Foundation, she studied Sociology and Islamic Studies in Göttingen and Hamburg and lived in Jordan for three years. There, she worked for various NGOs, taught German and led the upcycling start-up ziadat4recycling. She is also a freelance journalist, photographer and editor.
