Our report on the Berlin Conference 2022: Co-creating Europe from the Bottom-up!

On 9 November 2022, Stiftung Zukunft Berlin (Future Foundation Berlin), Wir Sind Europa (We Are Europe), A Soul for Europe and Cities for Europe hosted the second day of the Berlin Conference 2022: Co-creating Europe from the Bottom-Up!, entitled ‚Soul for Europe: Rethinking Europe.‘
Political and civic actors from across Europe came together to discuss the roles of grassroots organisations and cultural initiatives in consolidating democracy on the continent. The morning session, held in English, focused more on the latter issue. In the afternoon, speakers discussed various civil society initiatives and goals in German. The ‚Europe Bottom-Up‘ platform was also introduced. Its creators explained that it aims to showcase the work of civil society organisations „that want to contribute to Europe’s success in a wide variety of fields.“
