Janek Toco Oellers
Janek Toco Oellers has been working as a student assistant at the Maecenata Institute since February 2024, supporting various research projects. Toco holds a B.A. in Regional Management, with a special focus on regions at the European external borders and their framework conditions.
Previously, Toco coordinated a humanitarian project in Greece for people on the move, where he campaigned for the recording of state violence and repression at the external borders. In Berlin, he founded and manages an association that supports and initiates various political and humanitarian projects along the Balkan route.
